Breaking Free: How to Make a Change in Your Church

Making a church transition can be a difficult decision, but it is one that many Christians are making. When it comes to transitioning churches, it is important to consider the potential reasons for making a change. Exploring different options is the first step in the process, as it allows you to find the right fit. The Bible also provides guidance on the importance of change and transition, particularly when it comes to spiritual growth. Age groups such as Millennials are leaving the church in droves, and it is important to understand why.

The transition process is an important part of the process. A church transition team can help guide the transition process, as they have experience with the process and can help make the transition smoother. Outlining the steps of transition is also important, as well as describing the five stages of transition and the six phases of transition. It is also important to be aware of the signs of a good church and the five marks of a healthy church, as well as the salary of a church pastor and the reasons why so many pastors are quitting.

In summary, making a church transition can be a difficult but necessary decision. The Bible speaks to this topic in many ways, from the passage in Hebrews 10:25 which states “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching” to the parable of the Good Shepherd in John 10:11-16. A prayer for those considering making a church transition can also be offered, for “the Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.” (Isaiah 58:11). Encouragement and the scripture can also be provided, with a challenge to those who are transitioning churches and hope for the future of the church. Ultimately, the goal is to encourage the audience to take action and make a church transition if necessary.

Making a church transition may be a difficult decision, but it is one that can lead to spiritual growth and a deeper connection to God. To learn more about transitioning churches, please refer to the following resources in our master class.
